Negroni Week at The Nuthatch

The Negroni is more than just a cocktail — it’s a piece of history in a glass. First created in Florence in 1919 when Count Camillo Negroni asked his bartender to strengthen his Americano with gin, the drink has since become one of the world’s most iconic aperitifs. Bitter, balanced and perfectly timeless, it’s no surprise that every year bars across the globe come together to celebrate Negroni Week.

At The Nuthatch, we’re proud to join in the tradition — and this year, we’ve extended Negroni Week until Saturday 5th October, giving you even more time to explore one of our favourite cocktails.

Ten Negronis, Countless Ways to Enjoy Them

Our menu features ten different Negroni variations, each offering its own take on the original gin–vermouth–bitter formula. Whether you’re drawn to the clean and refreshing balance of a White Negroni, the depth of a French Negroni, or the classic itself, there’s always something new to try.

To mark Negroni Week, we’re offering three of our favourites at just £8 each until Friday 4th October:

  • Classic Negroni – Bombay Sapphire, Asterley Bros Estate Vermouth, Campari.
  • White Negroni – Bombay Sapphire, Lillet Blanc, Suze.
  • French Negroni – Courvoisier VS, Cointreau, Asterley Bros Estate Vermouth, Campari.

Celebrating Ingredients with Character

We believe a great Negroni deserves great ingredients. That’s why we showcase products with heritage and quality at their core:

  • Asterley Brothers Vermouths – British-made vermouths crafted with botanicals and tradition, bringing a homegrown twist to a classic Italian cocktail.
  • Campari – the unmistakable red bitter that defines the Negroni’s character, balancing vibrant citrus and herbal notes.
  • Bombay Sapphire Gin – a London Dry with bright botanicals, clean enough to shine but bold enough to carry bitters.
  • Lillet Blanc & Suze – French aperitifs that bring subtlety and sophistication to the White Negroni.
  • Courvoisier VS Cognac & Cointreau – elevating the French Negroni with richness and depth.

Each variation is carefully stirred and served with the attention to detail you’d expect from a bar recognised among the Top 50 Cocktail Bars UK.
