Each December, The Nuthatch becomes a warm, candlelit haven in the heart of Middlesbrough’s independent quarter. Garlands and twinkling lights frame the bar, glasses clink, and friends gather to celebrate the season. Here’s what’s on for Christmas 2026.

Bottomless Christmas, 26–30 December

That bit between Christmas and New Year? Plans sorted. Bottomless Christmas brings you 90 minutes of bottomless drinks from our ten-drink festive menu, with a British charcuterie and cheese board to share.

It runs from 26 to 30 December and costs £45 per guest. You pay £10 per guest when you book, with the remaining £35 payable on the day. Sittings run between 3pm and 8pm (last sitting 6:30pm), and groups of up to 12 can book online. Book Bottomless Christmas, or see all our bottomless experiences.

Festive Cosy Club

Cosy Club gets a festive twist on selected evenings in December: a British charcuterie and cheese board with a bottle of wine to share, for £37. Festive Cosy Club runs on Thursday 3, 10 and 17 December, and Sunday 13, 20 and 27 December, from 5pm. See Festive Cosy Club.

Christmas parties

Bring your team, clients or favourite people together for cocktails, British charcuterie and cheese. Tables of 6–12 guests can be booked online with a £10 per person deposit, deducted from your bill on the day. For 13–16 guests, enquire or call us on 01642 903035. For bigger celebrations, exclusive hire of the whole bar is available for up to 40 seated guests, or 50 with a mix of seated and standing. Plan your Christmas party.

New Year’s Eve 2026

Our New Year’s Eve celebration on Thursday 31 December 2026 is sold out. Thank you to everyone who booked. If you missed out, Bottomless Christmas runs from 26 to 30 December.

Festive opening hours

From Sunday 20 December to Sunday 3 January we open from 3pm, apart from Monday 21 December, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, when we’re closed. New Year’s Eve is a ticketed evening and is sold out. See our full festive opening hours.

Our charcuterie and cheese

No Christmas at The Nuthatch would be complete without our British Charcuterie & Cheese Boards. Each one is built for sharing, with six artisan items alongside bread, crackers and accompaniments. We work with small, independent producers from across the UK, from award-winning cheeses to beautifully cured meats that pair perfectly with our drinks.
