Recruitment privacy notice

How The Nuthatch handles information you send us when you apply for a job.

This notice explains how The Nuthatch, a trading name of RPC Manor Limited, collects and uses personal data when you apply for a vacancy through this website. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy and is not a substitute for it.

Who we are

RPC Manor Limited is the controller for recruitment data. Our registered office is 9–11 Bedford Street, Middlesbrough, TS1 2LL. For privacy questions, including access or deletion requests, contact us via the website contact form or at hello@the-nuthatch.co.uk.

What we collect

When you apply, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • The vacancy you are applying for
  • Your covering message
  • The CV file you upload, including its original filename
  • The date and time we received the application

We do not ask for marketing consent on the application form, and we do not use application details to send promotional messages.

Why we collect it

We use this information to consider you for the role, contact you about your application, and keep a record of the recruitment process. The legal bases we rely on are taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interests in hiring for the business.

Who can access it

Applications are seen by authorised Nuthatch staff involved in recruitment. Your CV is emailed to our recruitment inbox and is not stored as a public file on this website. Application details are stored in our private content system for authorised staff only and are not published on the website.

Our email provider (Resend) and website host process the data on our behalf in order to deliver the form and emails.

How long we keep it

We intend to keep unsuccessful applications for 6 months after we receive them, then delete them. This period is an operational default and should be confirmed against your legal advice before relying on it as a formal retention policy. Successful applicants’ information may be kept as part of an employment record.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about your application, or ask us to correct or delete it, using the contact details above. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
